Block
Block is a butchery rooted in ethical farming and a deep respect for provenance. Based at Spratsbourne Estate, it brings the process closer to the guest, from animals roaming the surrounding fields to the butcher’s counter, with a focus on transparency, seasonality and craft.

Our role was to shape an identity for the butchery, turning an idea into a brand. We defined the name and developed the brand, visual language and website, alongside printed materials, packaging and in-counter communications, creating a system that balances clarity with a sense of weight and materiality.

Beyond the visual layer, we supported the internal structure of the business, helping define systems and frameworks that guide how the brand is expressed day-to-day. The result is a cohesive identity that moves seamlessly between physical, digital and operational spaces, grounded in simplicity, honesty and precision.
A direct and literal name, grounded in craft and simplicity, supported by the line ‘a modern butchery’ to signal a fresh and contemporary approach.
A restrained identity built around clarity, weight and quiet confidence.

Imagery focused on process and place, capturing the relationship between land, animal and craft.
